Description

ApplicationAcridine orange has been used as a fluorescent stain for nucleic acids in agarose and polyacrylamide gels. Acridine orange at a concentration of 120 μM will detect purified DNA in gels with a sensitivity of 25-50 ng per band. It has also been used extensively for cell staining of DNA in apoptosis studies.
